RSS Feeds – Why Measure Your RSS Feeds

You can measure results through any type of advertising or marketing campaign. You analyze your website statistics. You also need to analyze the results of the RSS feed. If you are not measuring results, how do you know if what you are doing is working?

There are three simple things to keep in mind when analyzing the feed results; if the results show people unsubscribing, what to do!

First you need to know how many people have registered or subscribed to your feed. Services such as Feedburner can provide you with this data. If you use Google AdSense, you can also find the number of subscribers there. How many people ask to be notified when you update?

Using this simple chart, you can use it with charts from previous subscribers. If you are just starting out, you can use it to monitor over a period of time. Will the number go up or down? The decline in the number of subscribers over time is worrying. This indicates that there is a problem. Check if the problem is technical. Make sure you have received your feed correctly. If not and you are using Feedburner, use the corresponding tool to analyze the problem in the feed. If the feed is working properly, you should look at the possible reasons people choose to leave the feed notification and take steps to stop the feed from continuing. This means that your content is not attractive enough to attract readers.

Here are the nine reasons why people are unsubscribing from your RSS feed and the steps to solve the problem.

1. Your theme is not exactly what they want. Are you acting too broad or too focused? Have you changed the subject of the subscription?

2. Is your quality still the same? If you lose your ideological quality, you will leave your readers behind. Make sure to maintain or improve the same standards!

3. Try to add more suggestions about the operation. People love the step-by-step instructions on every topic imaginable.

4. Are your ideas too rough? Still too personal? You want to show your personality, but you don’t want to show your life unless your blog does. If your website is a news site, analyze and add some comment articles to enhance your personal style. Add a personal description or describe how you personally used the product to generate personal ideas. Or, if your thoughts are very personal, you sometimes need to learn to write in the third person.

5. Is your publication frequency low? If you don’t regularly provide subscribers with ideas, they can leave. For example, if your RSS feed is only used to notify users about a specific application, it may not be applicable, but you should not read such website articles. You must publish at least one article per week to satisfy your subscribers. If you don’t have the time, consider hiring a ghostwriter, or copy and paste from the article directory (leave the author resources box unchanged, of course) as a guest post. Asking guest blogs is another way to get more content for readers.

6. Are you publishing too much and overwhelming the number of subscribers? News sites publish many new ideas every day, but ordinary internet sites do not. Just a few articles a day is more than enough for most readers. Usually one is enough.

7. Have you signed a long and long message that should be read forever? If that’s the style of your blog that’s great, but make sure to set the RSS feed as a summary, not the whole post. Why not try to shorten your thoughts or split your thoughts into multiple messages.

8. Did you release a short update of no more than 150 words? Short messages should be sent to your feed in full format. Make sure to add longer posts regularly to add quality content that readers can appreciate. Your blog posts should not be read as Twitter tweets! Your blog posts should definitely not be Twitter tweets. Leave them on Twitter.

9. Do you share yesterday’s news? Is the most recent information you provide to subscribers relevant to you? Make sure to stay on top of trends. Outdated content will lose subscribers.

There are other reasons for people to opt out, but the above nine suggestions are all things you can check in the feed and make changes gradually. Just try one thing at a time and check the statistics to see if it makes a difference.

The second indicator you want to know is who is reading the feed?

If your subscribers don’t read your feed, your work has been wasted. Do you use catchy headlines to attract your ideas? How about your first paragraph? Got this article on the most interest and judge the rest from that.If they’re not getting interested from the lines, they won’t click through.

If you don’t get the time to use the statistics, you have no idea if your efforts are working. You have no idea if you’re being productive or wasting your time!
